The barrel, cone, and inlet of CFB cyclones experience the highest erosion rates in the entire system — abrasion-resistant castables with anchored installation are essential.
Municipal solid waste combustion creates highly corrosive chlorine-rich gases at 800–1000°C — acid-resistant castables and corrosion-resistant dense bricks are the preferred solution.
Fly ash transport ducts, air preheaters, and economiser sections require wear-resistant linings that also resist sulfuric acid condensation during start-up and shutdown.
